The Wrong Majority

This is absolutely bloody brilliant - and concise as well. It touches on a subject that most or all of us have noticed in one way or another, but which few of us are likely to have really thought about. In short: if there is more than one option, why is the most popular virtually never the qualitatively best? There's an answer, and it's both intriguing and a bit disturbing. If you have examples that haven't been mentioned yet, he's interested in hearing about them.
